Pāḷi & Aṭṭhakathā: Advanced Summer School in reading canonical Pali texts with their commentaries.
2–6 June 2025, Department of Religion and Theology, 36 Tyndalls Park Road, Bristol, BS8 1PL, UK
This five-day summer school will be led by:
Rupert Gethin (Professor Emeritus and President of the Pali Text Society): Sutta/Abhidhamma and commentary.
Petra Kieffer-Pülz (Secretary of the Pali Text Society): Vinaya and commentary.
Martin Straube (Senior Research Fellow, Pali Text Society): Vessantara Jātaka.
The school is intended for those with a prior knowledge of Pali or Sanskrit who wish to develop their skills in reading Pali canonical texts and their commentaries.
Daily Timetable:
- Morning sessions: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM (with coffee break)
- Afternoon sessions: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM (with coffee break)

Note: This is a non-accredited course with a maximum of 20 participants.
